{"id":7,"date":"2014-04-08T20:16:48","date_gmt":"2014-04-08T18:16:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wilddive.de\/new\/blog\/?p=7"},"modified":"2016-10-17T18:55:02","modified_gmt":"2016-10-17T16:55:02","slug":"walhai-begegnung-auf-ko-tachai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.wilddive.de\/new\/blog\/Archive\/7","title":{"rendered":"Whale shark encounter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"hps\">It is 14 years<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">ago<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">since<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">I made<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">my first<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">diving license<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and since then<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the desire<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">grew in me<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">finally get<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to meet a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">whale shark.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Now<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">it happened<\/span> <\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"hps\"><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"hps\">and <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"hps\"><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"hps\"><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"hps\">fortunately <\/span><\/span>I could<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">take pictures<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of it<\/span><\/span><\/span>. <span class=\"hps\">Koh<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Tachai<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">is a small island<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">northeast of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the Similan<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Islands<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> not <span class=\"hps\">far from the famous<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Richelieu<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Rock &#8211;<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the whale shark<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">magnet.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">3 dives<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">in the morning<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">at this<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">rock formation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">were not<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">been successful in this respect.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Nevertheless,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">there was plenty<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to see<\/span>: <span class=\"hps\">a school<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of large<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">barracudas<\/span>, lots <span class=\"hps\">of swarm fishes<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and great<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">colorful<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">coral blocks<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">with all sorts of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">small animals<\/span>. <span class=\"hps\">But my<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">gaze<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">steadily goes<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">into the blue<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to the surface.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Where is<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the whale shark<\/span>?
